Thanks for posting.
Awesome video! What is the name of this sewers equipment?
This video saved the day!!! Thank you!!! The thumbnail is exactly what happened to us today and you saved us sooo much money! ❤
Thank you for your clear explanation, got wet a little bit .
Came across this after fixing the exact same unit. Tips for anybody…center brass screw may be rotted….either drill out or hit with PB blaster and vice grips. Secondly, cup to retain the washer may crumble…perfectly fine to dremel flat and matchup washer OD…good to go!
wow I have never heard of this before. Anybody in East TX do this kind of work?
Thank you so much for making this short video. Very helpful!👍
10 years later and this video is still...
Thank you for making this short and to the point. VERY helpful!
That thermal camera hotspot looks suspiciously like the visible reflection off the floor bud. Before you go smashing foundations is all.

Thank you! This video saved me from making a phone call “weekend callout for a plumber” You got right to it and didn’t chat to the camera and your directions were clear. 😊
Wow really great video. Keep it up guys.
Dousing rods work amazingly well!!
Excellent, just bought 2 flappers for both of our toilets.. hopefully no more ghost flushing 😅
Good video with great content- 1 point to note the rock music being played was a gigantic distraction from an otherwise great video
Im going to have to get this done not looking forward to this bill
I was looking scam results and came across this video, just after I read the top google search result on thr subject and within 5 seconds It seemed familar once you showed the pipe. Realised that this video is by the same guy that had the other page. Nearly 10 years deep and it was the only real source speaking against softners...was just quirky, thought I would share. Whole thing seems like an easy sale to make people worry because they cant see it anyway. Thanks and have a nice life!
Let me save you some time: Yes, water softeners are a scam, and there is no reason to get one, no matter what any salesman tells you. -they do not “save your pipes”. Water softeners run high amounts of sodium through your pipes, so you are trading pipe blockage by sediments for pipe blockage by salt crystals. Your pipes are still clogged. -they are VERY bad for your long-term health. Up until the moment you realize you just got a mouthful of salt water out of your sink/fridge you have been drinking high sodium water. You’re speeding up a heart attack/stroke and other serious health issues but hey, at least your pipes “aren’t clogged”. -as an extension of the last point, every time this “salt runaway” happens, it ruins your refrigerator water filter. And this will happen without warning. -you will lose water pressure, no matter how hard a salesman tries to assure you you won’t. -having a water softener is a part time job. It needs constant maintenance (like weekly) to make sure it isn’t gonna go off the rails and dump tons of sodium into your water. -an outdoor water softener adds extra external pipes that will burst during a freeze, leaving you without water for days or longer. Yes, this has happened to us. The original company ghosted us so we had to pay a 3rd party to come fix it. $200 unplanned bill. I tried to do it myself but couldn’t get the proprietary parts. -the high sodium content changes the chemical properties of your faucet water to the point that soap no longer creates non-polar association regions. Again in English: water softener water does not wash soap off. This isn’t “just a cleaner feeling” that a salesman tells you it is. I have rinsed repeatedly only to watch the same soap bubbles swirl around on my hands. The outcome was many dry and irritated bodily skin regions due to dried soap patches I could not get off. You have been warned. Water softeners are devices that exist for the sake of existing, and do not fill a need. Save the thousands of dollars and years of frustration. It was a mistake and we are currently looking into cost-effective ways to have ours removed.
just saw another video where the professional "leak detector" the insurance company sent out got it wrong and the plumber had to cut two holes. Another one where a plumber got it wrong and cut a huge hole into the nice living room floor only to eventually dig under the wall and find the leak under the floor inside a closet opposite the wall.. I pays to hire a pro with the right equipment.
The second I heard people discussing this bullshit I knew it was a scam
Oh- and I love your slogan 😄
Thank you for this! Not only is my toilet issue solved, but I learned something even more important: That I apparently really REALLY want a Betty Boop clock! 😆 (even tho she's a no-neck😄😳)
Thank you! Best faucet repair video!😊
Thanks! I know this is an old video but that trick to open the valve all the way and tighten the nut fixed the leak around that area saving me a trip to the hardware store.
Does anyone has advice on how to remove the gasket on Bent Nose Valve ? The gasket is bigger than the valve body opening and cannot get it out
Thank you so much, this help me fix my patio hose Bibb without replacing
Great video
What about the stem being able to move up and down spraying water
Oh man you're a lifesaver I was getting ready to call a plumber out to replace the shut off valve and a quarter turn with a wrench saved me a couple hundred bucks😅
Thank you sir!
Nowadays everyone's a plumber with SharkBites so you just break open your walls find the manifold kill the line on either end and run a piece of clear pex B to repipe the hot at the manifolds
I found a big hotspot in my bathroom 2 days ago. Water spigot turn hot right away. Do you think this is a DIY job? I don't want to dig. I just want to bypass it like we did with the outside cold galvanized water pipe that bursted 7 years ago underground.
I almost took it off until I saw your video
Hello... where in Mumbai , india can I find someone who can search leakage in my house.. Do guide..thanks
Thank you 👍
Successfully repaired it myself! Thank you so much for your help and clear explanation!
Thank you Brother! This is the 2nd time your video has helped me to fix a leaky spigot. We just needed to buy that small $3 stem washer & it was fixed! To fix it, I took off the stem & brought it in to Home Depot, to make sure the washer fit. Thanks again! Blessings to everyone! #WeNeedEachOther #TakeTimeToShareWhatYouKnow #ItWillBlessOthers #ThankYou
A lot of guys explain this and they complicate the shit out of it. Thank you for making it simple
Awesome video assistance Sir! Best part was around 1:50 into the video where he/you said....."now you tighten the screw THAT YOU DIDN'T LOSE...". Sir...quit spying on me when I'm doing my plumbing work!!!!! Yep, I'm that schmuck! Where did I set that effin screw down? For safe keeping! Doh
Thanks
Helped fix my bib - thanks!
Thank you thank you thank you!! Concise, to the point, and great visuals!
I'm really glad I found this video. My problem was leaking around the handle when I turned the water on (2:23). Thanks to this video I was able to fix it in about 10 seconds with a pair of pliers.
Outstanding
2:39 that did it! Thanks for saving me a trip to Lowe's
Been at my house for almost 2 years and my leak got fixed by tightening the nut. I didn’t realize it was that easy. Thank you!
Definitely not me 9 years after this came out in the Home Depot parking lot learning what I need to buy 🤣
This was so well done. Great video, explanation and well spoken. Excellent
I undid the nut below my bonnet, but the bonnet won't come out and the top Phillips head screw is is stripped. So I can't get it out the change the washer. Any suggestions? Thank you, Jeff
Leaked for a year. 30 seconds to fix. Thanks!
